I was absurdly charmed by this book. It was not so much for the romance, which I hope will work out in the sequel, but the grace and calm by which the main character lived. Sometimes I read books and think, "Yes, that is how one should live." So I learn something. Now, I will never be able to take professional quality art photographs, see ghosts and visions of the future, or live elegantly, but I learned that one might actually do that. I wondered feverishly how the main romance would work out, as photographer Reason never seems to see his boy-pal Didier, who is always working overtime as an architect, and indeed, Reason seems to spend more time investigating mysteries with Didier's mother, but by the end of the book I was beguiled and want to see a continuation of the story. Having the story set in the 1990 was fascinating, (he uses AOL to search the internet) because so much has changed. Reason's psychic ability didn't seem to play much part in the second half of the book, which was a bit puzzling. It's not for everyone, but it weirdly fascinated me.Oh, and you can basically read it for free with the new Kindle Unlimited program. I was shocked to suddenly see books priced $9.99 but I think that is some automatic pricing done by computers. I read it during my free month, and if I find more books like this I might continue with the program.
Update: I came back and paid full price for this charming book. Kindle Unlimited only gives you access to a book for as long as you are a member of the program. I just had to read it again. I hope with the revisions. I hope this author keeps writing. Don't read reviews. Except mine... ;)

Vision Gallery edition by Neil Crenner Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I kept reading and reading. The tension builds, the wine flows, the mystery unravels.
I enjoyed this book very much. For Neil's first time out the gate, this romance/mystery will keep you turning the pages.
Good job.
I am usually not this critical about a book. The author put in the time and effort. I wanted to abandon this adventure after the first few chapters, but remained hopeful that it would pull together. Unfortunately, it never did pull together. When it FINALLY got to the ... climax?.... the author wrote, "fini"... What? I read so many entries on coffee with cream and not one, but two Sweet and Lows! Food... yep, big on food! Extensive descriptions of food. Conversations to his dog... yes, Colbert was a main character, although she had NO relevance to the story. Kept thinking "foreshadowing"... NO. Nothing had any relevance to the story. Then when the drama reached its (potentially) intense end... "fini" I have many male friends that are gay... none are this shallow! This screamed stereotypical Gay! I was almost embarrassed. Additionally, the grammar and word choice were abysmal. I read roughly 3 to 4 books a week. I have a very open mind. Neil, if you intend to write further novels, contact me first, I will help with pacing, necessary info, follow through, grammar, etc. I do not want to discourage, but ... the story had potential... it fell into the muck. Sorry.
The lack of editing makes it a challenge to enjoy this book. The reader has to work very hard to understand what the author is trying to tell us. It is frustrating. There are quotation marks when no dialog is occurring. Verb tenses change within the same sentence. When Didlier is telling Reason what he had done the night before he states "... I let myself in, feed Colbert and then spent the night with her." Or when Trevor asks "Are we talking the dog" instead of taking the dog, it interferes with the flow of the story. I spent a lot of time re-reading sentences in order to determine what the author was trying to say. I do not want to work that hard to be entertained.
The plot was interesting. It is a good first draft with the potential to be an interesting and entertaining story one day. Character development was superficial and incomplete. Some scenes seemed superfluous and are not tied further into the story or its conclusion. The reader is asked to do a lot of work and believe the implausible. I'm not even talking about the paranormal activity! For two people to have dinner at 7pm, skip dessert and go immediately to bed to sleep and not wake up until morning truly tests my suspension of disbelief.
I would really like to read this story after it has been proof-read and edited.
Editing issues aside, I thought the plot moved well and the characters were interesting. In fact, it led me to believe there might be more with these characters. After all they went through to win the land, I hope so!
